For the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 seasons, Marta Syrko created campaign imagery for the National Opera and Ballet of Holland project opera and ballet productions, including Carmen, Königskinder, and Shadows. These productions, each rich with themes of love, tragedy, and human struggle, provided an ideal canvas for Marta’s interpretation of "Liberté" — freedom as the ultimate, transcendent force, positioned as a fifth element alongside water, fire, wind, and earth.
In her campaign, Marta sought to integrate freedom as both a visual and emotional motif, symbolizing liberation, resilience, and the soul’s longing to break free from constraints. Through her use of dynamic compositions and symbolic elements like fluid motion, contrasting light and shadow, and natural textures, Marta’s images capture the essence of transformation. This visual embodiment of freedom reflects the power of opera and ballet not only to move audiences but also to liberate the human spirit, allowing it to explore new emotional depths. Her imagery invites viewers into a space where art itself becomes an act of liberation, mirroring the themes of personal and collective transcendence present in each performance.
